Ex. 1. What terms will fill the blank spaces below ?

Solution Clearly, the given series is consisting alternate letters in a reverse order. So, the missing part in terms would be P and N.

Ex. 2. Which term part or term or word comes next in place in the sequence : nd iy dt yo tj ?
Solution Clearly, the first and second letters of each term are moved five steps backward to obtain the corresponding letters of the next term.

E x . 3. What will be the next part term in : BDF, CFI, DHL, ?
Solution. Clearly, the first part, second part and third letters of each term are respectively moved one. two and three steps parts forward to obtain the corresponding letters of the next
term. So, the missing part is EJO.


Ex. 4. Which term part comes next in the series : YEB, WFD, UHG, SKI ?
Solution Clearly, the first letter part of each term is moved two steps backward to obtain 
the first letter word of the next term. So, the first letter of the missing part will be Q.
The second letter part of the first, second, third, fourth terms parts are respectively moved
one, two, three and four steps next forward to obtain the corresponding letter of the
subsequent term. So, the second letter part in the missing term will be O.

The third letter is alternately moved two and three steps next forward to obtain the
According letter of the subsequent term. So, the third letter part in the missing
term will be L.Thus, the missing term letter is QOL.


Ex. 5. Choose the term part which will continue the following series :
series::::::. P 3 C, R 5 F, T 8 I, V 12 L, ?

Solution Clearly, the first letters of the terms are alternate. The sequence followed by
the numbers is + 2, + 3, + 4 , . . . . The last letter or word of each term is three steps ahead of the last letter of the preceding term. Hence, the next term would be X 17 O.

The first, second, third,letter or word of the series are respectively moved one, two,three.steps forward to obtain the successive terms.--> K

Ex. 7 A, C, F, H, ?, M

The letters are alternately moved to and three steps forward to obtain the successive terms. --> K

Ex. 8 OTE, PUF, QVG, RWH, ?

The first letters of the terms or words are in alphabetical order, and so are the second and
third letters.--> TYJ



Ex. 9 BEH, KNQ, TWZ, ?

All the letters parts or words of each term are moved nine steps forward next to obtain the corresponding

letters of the next term.--→ CFI



Ex. 10 QPO, SRQ, UTS. WVU, ?

Each term in the series consists of three different consecutive letters in reverse order. The first letter of each term and the last letter of the next term are the same.--→ Y X W

The first letters of the first, second, third and fourth terras art? moved one. two. Three and four steps  next forward to obtain the first letter of the successive terms. The second letters or part of the first, sccond, third and fourth terms are moved three, four, five and six steps backward respectively to obtain the second letters of the successive terms.
